Saboten Diary

SA・BO・TEN is Japanese, means "cactus". Cactus is my favourite plant. I have few of them at home. Last year, my little cousin gave me one for my b-day but it hasn't bloomed since then, so 2 weeks ago he gave me another one as my advance b-day gift for this year. It's already has a bud.

Let's see how the journey of this little saboten was...

OH!!!! ... WOW!!! ... How gorgeous he is! He's blooming beautifully, nicely and perfectly. Isn't it amazing? It's the first time I have a cactus flower.

Khorb Khun Mak Krab N'Chate for this wonderful gift.

Glouy & P'Rid Wedding

Another best friend's wedding of mine on October 18, 2007. Congratulation to Glouy, my Arts friend and her groom, P'Rid. After 6 years of relationship, they decided to tie the knot. The place they chose for their big day was the Shangri-la Hotel by the Chaophraya River.

In this special occasion, Glouy's former boss and his family came a long way from Japan to attend the wedding. He also gave a speech at the reception and it was a touching one. There was a part of his speech which will be a very good keyword to every couple so I would like to quote it here.

The keyword of successful marriage he gave was "HOPE". First of all, from now on the couple will carry on the same HOPE. Then, the hidden meaning of the word are. "H" = health - for remaining good health, "O"= opportunity - for not letting the good opportunity goes, "P"= parents - for taking good care of their parents, "E" = equal - for equality between husband and wife.

I believe that if every couple keep this keyword in their heart, they will have a happy family life forever and ever.
